Lāčplēša diena – Tour d’torch 2016

Lāčplēsis Day is a memorial day for soldiers who fought for the independence of Latvia. It is celebrated on November 11. A popular Lāčplēsis Day tradition since 1988 is placing candles on and by the wall of Riga Castle. On this day every year we organise an bike ride with torches in our hands in honour of soldiers who died for us to live in a free country. This a peaceful and slow ride with lot’s of thoughts on everyones mind.
